SHIFT MANAGER - FULL TIME (POSTED 25/8/18)
We are now recruiting for a new Shift Manager position at our centre.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Shift Manager will be responsible for the smooth operation of the centre. The main responsibilities for this role are:
Open/Close the centre
Ensure the Health & Safety of customers and staff
Maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable facility
Liaise with the management team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the facility.
General maintenance tasks, PPE and wall safety checks.
Instruct groups in the bouldering area, on ropes and in the cave system
Assist in the serving of customers at main reception for climbing and skatepark
The role operates on a rotating two rota system, working 40 hours per week. Additional hours are possible, and flexibility to accommodate changes in shift patterns to cover holidays and emergencies are required.
The successful candidate will:
Hold a valid 1staid certificate
Have CWI (CWA) minimum
Route-Setting experience preferred
Have a flexible and accommodating approach to their working pattern
Be a problem solver
Have the ability to keep calm under pressure and think on their feet
Have excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Have the ability to motivate the staff team under them
Preferred but non-essential qualities:
CWLA or SPA Qualification
Minimum of 2 years instruction experience
