creation climbing centre's biggest ever re-fit

Since July 2011 we have been working away at make a major upgrade to Creation Climbing Centre. We have stripped back the panels, re-profiled the walls. Added a huge overhang, cave and an arch to the already extensive facilities that Creation has to offer.

We are now 3/4 through the re-fit of the front of our centre, and once finished will increase the number of lines at Creation to 110. We have also doubled the number of available bolt on hold placement per panel which will enable us to set more diverse routes, additionally we have changed our process for friction coating the panels which will provide even more grip, for longer..

Our new area will have a host of new routes, travelling through the types of terrain that you have never experienced here before.

We anticipate our longest route will be nearly 60ft!.

Whilst all the steelwork is up and in place, we are now busy cutting and panelling the last sections of the wall (the archway).

Once this is complete, we need to paint, routeset, and install rubber crumb safety flooring.

This image was taken in October when the Bendcrete wall from
the old Rockface Climbing Centre was finally hauled up in to air.

Since then all panelling has been completed and the wall has
had a through clean, tocuh-up and re-paint.
